Thomas Goersch grew up with his two brothers in Hofgeismar (Kassel), Waldkirch in Freiburg and Stuttgart, Germany. He completed a banking apprenticeship and studied economics and banking law until 1999, when he ventured into the film industry, working as a screenwriter and actor. Since 2000, he has starred in over 220 films, including long-standing collaborations with directors Carl Andersen (2001-2012), Maria Dora (2004-2015), Malga Kubiak (since 2001) and Alexander Tuschinski (since 2016) . His films have received awards in Poland, Sweden, France and the United States. In 2013, he began working as a director. In 2018 he began to intensive his work as director with directing documentaries and to direct also outside of Germany. As an author he wrote several film scripts and started to write in 2018 to write cooking books.
He developed the figure of "Herr Berger" . Featured him in "Herr Berger sucht einen Sohn" in 2018 and is working on a sequel for 2019.
In addition to his work in front and behind the camera, Thomas has performed as a successful narrator for radio. He narrated the comedy series "Beauty Palais," which ran in four countries on 24 radio stations. He has done voice over for numerous television documentaries, including L.B. Hyams' Memoir of a Cannibal.
